- What brought you into this business?
I feel like I've technically been a stylist since I was a little girl; from stealing my mom's facial bleach when I was 8 to make hilights to cutting mine and my friends hair and attempting to weave and foiling techniques before I had the training. Doing hair is the only thing I've done and have done well enough to know that this is what I want to do. I always wanted to help people as a living and I've found the perfect career that works for me.
- What is your favorite holiday?
My favorite holiday is Halloween. I love all the colors and myths that surround Halloween and that time of year. Plus, who doesn't like to dress up and be whoever/whatever they want to be for the day? No matter how ridiculous you may look it's okay, cause it's Halloween!
- Why did you choose the Broadripple area to work in?
When I was getting closer to my graduation date everyone kept asking where I wanted to work. I just said, "I don't know but I'm definitely going to check out Broadripple." because I knew I would fit in and work best here. I never know what I get to do for the day because there's such a variety, I could get someone from 7 to 70 and anywhere between a classic to edgy haircut or color.
- What is your favorite thing about being a stylist?
My favorite thing about being a stylist is that I get to help people achieve the look they want to have and everyone always feels better or a little bit more sassy after a new cut or color. Not only do I get to help people look and be who they want to be but I also get to be whoever I want to be because as a stylist I don't have a whole lot of limitations on what I can and can't do with my own look.
- What is your favorite thing about the salon?
My favorite thing about Salon6 is that everyone is so different and everyone excels in different things and different techniques. So there's a lot more I can learn to incorporate into what I already know. Being here I get a lot of variety in the clientele that comes in and within the people I work with.
